Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam or also known as A.P.J Abdul Kalam was born on 15th of October 1931 in a family of 10 siblings living in a small room
Growing up, his life wasn't easy, his father who was a boatman couldn't afford the school fees of 10 children, but Kalam was a born genius.

His curiosity took over him. A 10-year old kalam used to get up 4:00 in the Morning to distribute newspapers, he used to walk through his neighbourhood to distribute newspapers
Despite of his hardships, when asked how was his childhood - he would always answer that he had a secure childhood, his parents were although poor but they were always there when Kalam or his siblings needed them.

Although Kalam's parents couldn't afford his school fees, he taught himself to read nd write through the newspapers he used to distribute
He was always inspired by the birds nd the sky, he wanted to fly and this landed him in the Indian Air force examination where he wasn't selected but we have to be. Thankful for this failure, if he wouldn't hve failed then he wouldn't hve been a student of the great legend - VIKRAM SARABHAI
While he was training in NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration. ) the management was moved by A.P.J's brilliance and also offered him a position saying-" WHAT WILL INDIA DO OF SUCH A SCIENCE BRILLIANT?"
Kalam smiled and returned to India with the mission of launching Satellites
He took the components of the rocket in his cycle
It wasn't easy for him, the whole world questioned him about the SLV-3 but despite of the criticism he kept working on his dream

Finally it was day when his dream was about to come true.. on August, 1979 SLV-3 was launched but the rocket which carried all of the ISRO's hope especially A.P.J's dreams crashed in the bay of Bengal,
But Kalam was dedicated, he was stubborn. When the whole world called him A FAILURE! He worked on the rocket nd finally on 18th of July 1980 SLV-3 took India's tricoloured flag above the sky and into the space
Kalam was so very dedicated in science nd teaching students that he denied to be the home minister, he denied being a part of NASA nd also denied being the president of india just because he wanted to follow his passion of teaching students

A.P.J took his last breath of 27 of July, 2015 when he was addressing his beloved children
Kalam is a man who changed our lives and told us to take pride because we are indians
